Aaron J. Jimenez graduated with a Masters Degree in Community Counseling: Clinical Mental Health from Adams State University in 2011, after receiving a Bachelors Degree in Sociology from Vanguard University in 2003. In 2010, he started his own private practice in Grand Junction, Colorado. In 2013, Aaron became licensed with the State of Colorado as a Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC) II.
Aaron is originally from Southern California and came to visit Grand Junction in 2003, for two weeks and fell in love with the Western Slope of Colorado. Aaron has called Grand Junction, Colorado his home ever since. Aaron not only has a practice in Grand Junction, he is also raising his family in Grand Junction. Aaron is married with three daughters and one dog, one rabbit and seven chickens.
Aaron has been progressing as an expert in the field of addictions studies and in the field of mental health. Aaron's last position was in a correctional facility where he treated inmates with co-occurring disorders (substance use disorder and mental health). Aaron continued to work alongside the community he lives in as a Child and Family Investigator and a Victims Compensation Therapist for the 21st Judicial District. Aaron is also a Psychology Professor at Colorado Christian University and a substitute Addictions Studies Professor at Colorado Mesa University.
